EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

 C. SADE & ASSOCIATES, in Washington, DC--an indigenous USA Public Relations firm—has been implementing community and cultural development projects in the San Francisco, CA Bay Area region, since 1979. Currently, we are undertaking an enormous task that implements PR techniques for the improvement of the African image in America.

CS&A is spearheading a committee of concerned citizens from across the country, who are developing a media instrument that counters the abject spiritual and mental condition noticeable in people of the United States. Our
project is a tool designed to project and protect the positive attributes of people in our communities. Initially, the targeted cities are: Washington, DC, New York, Chicago, San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles.

The committee has successfully completed the initial phase, which consists of a business plan and layout of a publication entitled, UME The Magazine of African Art & Fashion. UME is a means for distributing the products and images of an African art aesthetic (in fashion, jewelry, visual arts, poetry) business and health-related editorials. This magazine’s affluent and upscale presentation visually competes with EBONY, ELLE, COSMOPOLITAN, BAZAAR, ESSENCE, and the rest.

Prominently presented in UME will be, “Community Role Models.” These models are people, who have struggled successfully to accomplish businesses, political positions, education, community based programs, successful marriages, and family life. These people are selected from communities around the country and across all economic sectors. UME models, will present selected designers' fashions and show art as it could be utilized in any home.

.Your support for this project will certainly be an added morale booster for this committee and our art constituents. We need your help, as an investor, supporter, or whatever you deem appropriate to make it through this phase and process of growth.

This is a revenue generating project. Relevant advertising will be solicited. A large percentage of the net profits, once realized, will be reinvested into a micro-manufacturing operation. This will, of course, assist our artist with more efficient production.

The complete business plan, that details management experience, community involvements, financial projections and supportive documents is available for perusal, by serious investors. Additionally, this is a financially sound concept that is designed to be successful within two years. We are seeking $500,000 operating capital. (Financial Breakdown: $150,000.00 for Marketing campaign; $80,000 for equipment and supplies; $120,000 for capital expenditures; $150,000 general operating expenses) Repayment of interest plus principal on investment is expected within a three-year period, out of operating profit.

Through the creation of cooperative societies and eventual creation of cooperative economic communities, we will render successful and cooperative mindsets, in which our youth and indeed ourselves can thrive.

Respectfully,

C. Sade Turnipseed, MS MBA
President
